
Biography
Dre. Marie-Laure Dano is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Université Laval, Québec City. Her research focuses on the mechanical behavior of composite materials and structures. Her work focuses on the development of reliable predictive tools for the design of composite structures. Her research projects have led her to collaborate with various universities, aerospace industry partners and government agencies such as the Canadian Space Agency.
Beyond her research achievements, Marie-Laure Dano is also recognized for the quality of her teaching. She strives not only to pass on the fundamental concepts of her discipline, but also to instill in her students the intellectual curiosity and critical thinking essential to their future careers as engineers or researchers.
